Linda Boyd

Linda will have several of her newest pieces at Art Bash this coming weekend. Linda is an artist who is addicted to fabric, paper, paint and all things mixed media, and loves creating in a diverse, mixed media style.

I first started sewing around age 4 when my Grandma Hansina started teaching me to sew. I have always been an obsessive quilter and quilting became color therapy for me.  I became interested in creating landscape quilts but always felt they were lacking some element. Who would have thought during a shutdown, stuck at home, my window on the world would be the entertainment of crows. I became intrigued with their intelligence and fascinated by their behavior. Crows & Ravens are very intelligent, smart, and like poetry and the theatre. In my art I love mixing things up by creating layers.  Using fabric, embroidery thread, feathers bits of paper, paints, shiny found objects, and a treasure or two with a sparkle that would please any crow or raven.” –“Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass…It’s about learning to dance in the rain.” lindadboyd@gmail.com
