John Ediger

One of my greatest pleasures is watching my pictures unfold. As I paint, I begin to develop a relationship with my painting, and, they become my close friends. Making art far transcends the end result.

John Ediger

For John Ediger, expressing and creating art is both a calling and journey. He enjoys studio work as well as en plein air, the latter being more loosely done than the former.

Before starting to draw and paint at age 55, John worked in the electronics industry for 30 years. His first art instruction book was “Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain” by Betty Edwards. He still picks it up and reads it occasionally.

John Ediger is a regular fixture at Skagit Artists and also serves as Treasurer for the organization’s Board of Directors. He paints with a regular group on Mondays at the Burlington Senior Center, and Thursdays at the Mount Vernon Senior Center.
